I agree, after all this on Facebook and here time to suck it up and buy some gunpowder. I still hate it though ... My president lost, the titans lost and the vols lost. Or at least it feels like they did.  having a bad week

All of my friends own small businesses....one of my REAL good friends, who owns a Cricket Ranch (yes, where they grow crickets and ship them out as bait) and me have been keeping up with the state that our Nation is in etc etc. Mike (the Cricket ranch owner and friend) thoroughly researches all of this stuff. He syays that America will not stand under 4 years of Obama. And I agree with him simply because he does his homework. Heck, small business is how he makes his and his family's living!!! Plus, he's just a plain good hearted old boy that any one of you would probably like. The general consensus among us is the same. One is even a Hand-me down Democrat, and yet owns a small business and sees the peril of another 4 years of the SAME.
I am SO disappointed in my own country right now. I have woke up not feeling good about all of this. What happened to the true patriots??? How many people did NOT vote but could have? So many questions about what went wrong. I took a nap when I get in from the woods yesterday evening. It was a LONG nap. I woke up at 8:30 Central time. I had it on Fox news so that I could glance, from time to time, what the polling results where. I COULD NOT BELIEVE MY EYES when I saw how close it was!!!! I thought that my fellow countrymen would have been sick of the high unemployment, the indebtedness to China, the entire mess in the White House. And yet, they must have turned a blind eye and said: WE DON'T CARE ABOUT ALL THAT!!!
Well....maybe 4 more years will convince the people. This country is not FOUNDED on being a socialist regime. This has caused me to committ myslef to becoming more educated about what is going on day to day in Washington. I am gonna start educationg myself on the history of our country and on its present and future. I'll be the first to admit that I don't read the papers enough, and watch the news enough. BUt I DO know this: When the FOUNDERS of this nation said: ONE NATION UNDER GOD....they meant it and were very serious about it. Every praying man and woman out there....PLEASE PRAY FOR OUR COUNTRY. WE don't NEED more and bigger Government!!!

I think within 2 years we'll see a major incident which will chance the United states as we know it today, and it won't be positive.

With all due respect, you took your advice from the owner of a Cricket Ranch, because HE does his homework - and then you voted?
You will, indeed, be a better thinker for doing your own homework and making your own decisions in the future, as you have said you will start doing. This is what everyone should do.
Begin with your claim...
NO founding father EVER quoted, "One nation under God." You're referring to the Pledge of Allegiance, which was written by a SOCIALIST, Francis Bellamy in 1896, was adopted in the 1940s and did not include "one nation under God" until Congress put it in there in 1954.
But don't take my word. Look it up for yourself.
Remember in the 18th and 19th century that this country was a good place only if you were a white male. The founding fathers were not all perfect and "Godly" men, either. Many owned slaves and stifled the rights of women and minorities.
You speak of "idealism," which is never obtainable. All of my life - and yours - and everyone else's - there have been pessimists who, no matter the situation, will say things like, "our country is on the wrong track," or "I've never seen it this bad," or "something bad is going to happen if we don't wake up."
Fact is that there will always be good and bad coexisting, and life will continue to go on. We have a lot of good people in this country - Christian, Jewish, Muslim, Atheist, etc. Lots of intelligent people in this country too. And a 100% population of imperfect human beings. Let's make the best of every day.

I agree with Kevin. Its time to pull up you pants and get along with getting on. I can't believe anyone is surprized. Its human nature. Every civilization has either broke down from civil war or taken over by another. But life goes on and it will agian. This is life, I haven't seen anything that says it is going to be easy. I am not a book smart kinda person but, I feel like i am very intelegent with common sence. THIS IS AMERICA!! GOD BLESS! I will be praying, trying to do things right and taking care of my family and friends.
