If someone archery hunts during MZL or Gun, do they need the specific stamp for that season or just the Archery Stamp. I am settling an argument I had this morning.
Thanks

Not TWRA but just archery... Or just gun or just mzl ...as long as the weapon is listed on the open season you just need a permit for the weapon you hunt with.

Not TWRA either, but Im pretty sure you need a muzzleloader and gun license even if you are carrying your bow during these seasons.

Not TWRA, but the way I read the regs, as long as your weapon matches the license you have, its good. If you buy Archery tag and are hunting with a bow, you can hunt from end of Sept all the way to the Jan end of season as long as you only use the bow(exception being, you still can't hunt the Juvenile seasons unless you are under 16). You also must wear the orange if muzzle loader or gun is open.

Not TWRA but you are incorrect.

Why do I carry a gun? Because cops weigh too much to carry and are difficult to conceal.

The license is for the weapon you are hunting with.

Am TWRA and you only need the license for the weapon you are carrying. In other words if you hunt with a bow during he gun season you only need the archery license (along with the regular hunt/fish combo).
