Question for TWRA.Can I use a corn feeder on my property 350 yards away from my blind as well as out of sight and intercept deer that are headed to it?

Not TWRA, but based on the reading of that official interpretation, and the wording of the law itself, unless you are in or are shooting into a "baited area" (clearly defined by the 250 yard radius) then you are not "hunting a baited area." Clearly, if you were 275 yards away from a corn feeder shooting deer on their way to said corn feeder, that would go against the spirit of the law, but not the letter of the law.
I suppose an officer could wright you a ticket citing the "no person may hunt wildlife while using bait" as prohibiting you from setting up outside a "baited area" and intercepting them, but that would be officer discretion and I doubt it would stand up before a judge.
Lots of problems with this law have been revealed since it's implementation and i suspect it will change next year.

You could be cited for hunting over bait if you hunt within 250 yards of the feeder or shoot a deer within 250 yards of that feeder.

Why not just call your county game warden and get his take on it,since he would be the one doing the "busting" LOL

Im over 350 yards away.I havent done it,ive not fed the deer there,I havent fed deer in over 2 months and dont plan to implement it this season. The question is for next season as I want to develop a permanent feeding station there. The location is also within 50 yards of where I park my truck in the morning. It would be real handy to me to put up a camera there to monitor the deer, fill the feeder, put out minerals ect.Deer go daily right down the hill to the cornfield in numbers and dont even look at my truck.Im not trying to kill a deer over corn, ust implement it to be another reason for does to regularly stay on my property. I will also trap every coon there and still be able to deer hunt 350 yards away on another hill and out of sight due to a draw and hillside. The way Im reading the law, what Im considering is legal.

if the site is that close to the truck, I would worry about your time walking through that 250yd "baited zone" with a hunting weapon in hand, even though your stand is far enough away to be safe. That's one question I'd be sure to ask the GW.

I definately would ask that. Are you really hunting if you are walking to a stand?? What if I used corn near the truck and then walked a mile to my stand location? What if my neighbor had a feeder near where I parked my truck, would I have to park somewhere else to get to my stand?

Diamond I would call the GW if you are planning on doing that one thing you may want to look at is why you may be 350 yards away the deer have to be 250 yards. Now not knowing the land if the deer is between you and the feeder and is over 100 yds away from you and you shoot it you are guilty. That is something to think about though.
This is the paragraph i am looking at.
No person may hunt wildlife while using bait or may hunt any baited area where he or she knows or reasonably should have known that the area is or has been baited. Shooting into or entering into “a baited area” for the purpose of hunting is prohibited. “A baited area” is defined as a 250-yard radius of the placement of the bait. “A baited area” will no longer be considered to be baited 10 days after all bait has been removed. ---TWRA---

Guys the 250 yards is a bench mark. Call your local office. It is and always have been the officers discretion. If they believe the corn is being used in anyway to harvest the animal. That can be condsidered using bait. I would talk to your local officer. Think about it. It would be any different then pilling up corn in the middle of the field at 300 yards and shooting the deer before they get to it. Be carefull!
