I missed a buck this morning from about 30ft because my gun didn't fire. It's an older knight lk93. It's got the pull back type bolt. The bolt gots into action but doesn't ignite the percussion cap. The caps are fine I tried a different brand. It fires after the 2nd shot but never on the first. I appreciate any help.

Someone else posted a problem about this recently. I think your firing pin spring is either worn out, or has some gunk around it. You need to open up your bolt and clean it out and see what it does.

Sounds like your cap is not seating all the way. The first "strike" seats you cap forward and the second one fires it. If you've ever dry fired it without a cap on the nipple it will mushroom the nipple keeping it from seating all the way. Try a new nipple and see if that fixes it.

get a new nipple, happens every time when a nipple shaft gets boogered up and doesnt allow the cap to seat fully.

Does that have the bolt with the secondary safety feature, the end of the bolt is threaded and you can screw the end in/out to allow it to fire or not. If so, double check to make sure that is unscrewed all the way and making full contact with the nipple.
