I'll be using my 54 flinter with 100 grs Goex 3fg and a patched .535 ball.
The wife will be totin the little 45 fullstock caplock that I built her. It will be loaded with 65 grs Goex 3fg and a patched .451 ball.

.50cal. Kentucky Long Rifle..490 round ball and patch...90gr 3F. Still carry the shot bag and powder horn too. Been getting it done this way since the 80's.

Uh huh, I'm sat at the base of a tree admiring the curl in the maple stock of my .54, John Anderson long rifle as i type this.

I use a 45 cal t/c Hawkins or t/c Cherokee. With 3f powder and patched round ball.kiled a deer a 70 yards last year And a coyote at 50 yards .
