I emailed CVA about the problem. They said they were aware of the issue and that I should try some stainless polish and rub the rust out. Also to use a preventative gun oil.
I'm not sure what else I expected them to say, but I was a little disappointed that after one shoot, I have this problem with their not replacing/fixing it. Oh well, I will try the polish soon and see where I am from there I guess.
