accompany someone hunting with a camera to film the hunt ? You will be in a 2 man ladder stand or a ground blind with the hunter.
Was asked to ask this question on here for someone.

I believe I saw this previously, though I'm not TWRA, I believe the 2nd person does not need a license as long as they don't carry a weapon, or help the hunter in any way...including dragging the animal. Look through the TWRA forum, I believe it is addressed more thoroughly somewhere.

Thanks. I had this question 2 years ago and got a thorough reply. Just wasn't sure where filming it came into play because if you look for the deer and help spot them, that is a part of the hunt.
Wanted to be sure I gave the correct info to the inquiring party.

If the camera man simply films and does not assist with the hunt (i.e. calling) then he does not need a license. If he assists in the taking if the animal then he would be hunting by the legal definition.
