I am not a TWRA employee and I am not offering advice but I was in a similar circumstance several years ago. A buddy and me leased so land along the Buffalo River to deer and turkey hunt. One day when he was scouting he inadverdently went across the property line(it wasn't marked) and found a feeder on the next property. Our lease was long and narrow and I dont know what the distance is but we couldnt get far enough away to be legal. I went to our TWRA officer and explained the situation that we werent baiting and shouldnt be penalized for being next to someone who was. We would have lost all use of that lease because of someone doing something out of our control. Anyway he said he would check it out and we never had any problems. The only advice that I could give is to talk to your local TWRA officer and explain whats going on.

So does each TWRA officer get to decide which rules or laws they wish to enforce? If so, this could get very confusing and possibly very biased. Either make it legal or not, not dependent upon anyone's mood on any particular day.

My thoughts exactly! Officer descression is for when a law has been broken not IF a law has been broken.

Most folks in the agency would love to see the feeding of wildlife made illegal.

TWRA will NEVER legalize baiting because it would cut the # of employees needed by at least 1/3. They will not be able to stop food plots because they are a normal ag practice. I have 40 bee hives, do you think an elected judge is going to tell me I can't grow clover becouse the deer might eat it? Or, I can't shoot the deer or turkey because they are interfering with my livelihood?

looks like a good tactic for your neighbor to keep you from hunting your own land
