The hard part is deciding...do you hunt, or do you go shoot it after you drop it in the woods.
I agree. I think the biggest problem is if you do or do not check and make sure.
I always check my scope before season just to make sure.
I would think a lot of people would just loose confidence in the set up if it took a hard bang if they had done it 100x before and never lost 0.
Guess my point is confidence in your set up.....
Maybe should be a whole different post, ha....

A lot depends on the scope and rings.
I have had cheap scopes in cheap rings and the slightest knocks around will screw the zero up.
My USO with USO rings, I could drop that from a 10 story building and it would still hold zero

Ask Lade about dropping guns. LOL That is why I have Talley rings and bases on my 300RUM
