I've read good reviews on I believe it's the "Big Sky" model. Supposed to have good glass.

Need more information. Price range? What rifle is it going on? Distances it will be used for?

I think I'm about to buy a Big Sky for a Savage ML-II. From what I've read they're good glass for the money. SWFA has them on closeout right now http://swfa.com/Sightron-Closeouts-C4847.aspx

They were a well kept secret for a while. Very good scopes at a very low price. I guess the secret is out!

$229 after mail in rebate. Don't think you will do much better for the price.

except maybe
http://www.samplelist.com/Minox-3-9x40-ZA3-Rifle-Scope-DEMO-A-P56378.aspx

I think both are pretty comprable

I have an SII, Big Sky, and an SIII. I think the only real difference between the Big Sky and the SIII is that the SIII has a 30mm tube. The glass is the same.

That's what I'm torn between now. I have a Minox ZA-3 on another gun that I really like but I thought I might give Sightron a try since the price is right. Have you compared the Minox to the Big Sky in terms of low light visibility?
