well running low on sst's and dont care to buy any i looked in the supplies i got from ewc when i bought the rifle

found a crap load of the 300 gn barnes expanders

i have killed with them before @ 1700 fps not real impressed couldnt get a pass through at 30 yds i felt the HP design is too radical but the buck did drop in tracks

i figured what the hack more testing is always needed

300 gn barnes expander
68 gns h4198
2395 avg fps

100 yds in high high winds

the first shot was with it sighted in for sst i made adjustment and shot 3

not to shabby

cant wait to see what they do at 2400 fps

That same radical hollow point design will drop your jaw when you see the carnage at smokeless speeds. You will get complete pass throughs and a blood trail any one could follow. They are wicked..

Good shooting Lade. I look forward to seeing your results/pictures from the deer you kill. Make sure you post them up.

I have been using them for 4 years pushed by 60 gns of n120. Needless to say they drop em. Very accurate out to 200, I believe you will be very happy.

Those are some mean deer killers. Good group there too. Don't expect very much practice tracking this year.

X2....I have always had good results with the expanders, The 250 shoots very well also. Both are excellent 200 yds and in bullets.
