I hunt 98% of the time in the thick woods and big mtns. 2-4 max.

I opt for the widest FOV I can get, and most shot are well under 50yds anyway.

What they said when in the woods. On a big field I normally have it on 5 or 6.

3x-4x. You have time to dial up if you need to due to game being way out there. However, rarely do you have time to dial down if game is in close.
