Richard,

I don't frequent these forums much, but I did see where your daughter killed her first deer. Just wanted to say CONGRATULATIONS!!

That right there is what it's all about. My youngest daughter and I only got to hunt Saturday morning in some brutal weather on the mountain. We didn't have nave any luck, but we went to the Franklin County Youth Deer Rally afterwards and had a blast.

Cherish these times because they go by fast. My oldest daughter just started high school this year, so Dad's depression is starting to kick in.

Thanks, we had a blast. I definitely had a better time than she did. Hard not to get teary eyed. She Is already preparing for her second deer. With Tyler in college I might just have a new hunting partner.

It doesn't seem possible that your Tyler is in college. What school?

He is in Chattanooga at TCU. He is doing great and the grades show. I'm very proud of him, he's a good young man.

Great deal. You should be proud as you have done a great job raising him!

I didn't see the post but congrats just the same. My daughter never was interested and the older she got the more girlified she got.

Couldn't resist posting again. Chad, we left after her cheer competition to go hunt. Saturday evening she switch from cheer uniform and makeup to camo and face paint.
