Is there a certain distance that you can hunt from a deer feeder? For instance, if my neighbor has a feeder next to our property line and I am hunting on my property, how far do I need to be away from that feeder?
Thanks,
Dannyt

Not trying to be rude . But this is why there is a TWRA question section . If you aren't 110% on an answer .DO NOT POST an answer ! This is a question for a TWRA employee to answer and if you give him false information he could get in trouble .
Again not trying to be rude . Just don't answer a question that is designated for a TWRA employee with an answer you do not know is correct . I know for a fact last year it was hunting within 250 yards in all directions . Yourself and the animal had to be outside of the 250 yard zone . Also it was up to the officers discretion .
I cannot find it in the book this year so do not listen to any answer untill one of the TWRA employee's answer .

This why something needs to changed. Thats why they should just make it illegal to feed deer all together..

I agree it should be changed! It would be awesome if they would outlaw any feeding of wildlife under any circumstances. But it aint going to happen.I always say either legalize it or do away with it altogether!Too many gray areas.

It is penalizing me from hunting on my own property. It looks to me like the law would apply to the guy who put the feeder and not me. There definitely is something wrong with this.

I doubt TWRA figures property lines into deer hunting regulations. Deer are free ranging and ANY bait, no matter where it is located, has a certain distance away from it that you must be in order to be legal.
