My Dad just received his disabled veteran license in the mail. This is the one that costs $10. If I read correctly, it looks to me like he'll have to purchase a big game permit in addition to this to legally hunt deer. Is that accurate?

Also, what about fishing?

Thanks!!!

It covers all licenses but it does not cover permits. This means that if he were to hunt on a WMA or want to shoot antlerless during the gun season he would have to purchase the Type 94 permit.

Your dad does not need any additional LICENSES to hunt or fish. That includes not needing any of the supplemental big game licenses.

However, he is not covered for PERMITS. He would need the Type 94 permit to participate in any nonquota WMA or any of the Special Season antlerless hunts.
