Williamson county. I had a 6 year old I've been trying to kill for 2 years dog a doe past me this morning at 7:30am. This is the first time I've ever seen the deer in person. No shot opportunity. This afternoon I had a great 3 year old work a scrape at 15 yards then right before dark I had another shooter work his way behind me at just 15 yards but couldn't get a shot; all I needed was two more steps on the same trail and he broke off and went directly away from me.
I've never had two shooters within bow range in one day ever until now. Heck I've never seen two shooters in one day period. I'm lucky if I get to see one all season.
I'm still not seeing any busted racks in pictures so our deer aren't rocking in rolling yet but they are close.
Awesome!!
According to BSK, Williamson County has an early rut in relation to surrounding counties. The next couple weeks is going to be awesome!

Yup.....y'all are about 7-10 days before ours in SW Hickman just less than an hour away

7:15-7:45 am
Deer everywhere taking my son to school via Old Hillsboro Rd to Hillsboro Rd to Murray Lane.
Did see one buck with wide spread charging up a hill to a pack of does off in the distance. Most of the deer were doe grazing in the fields.

Saw a monster 20 min before dark last night about 75 yds,just walking,gave him soft grunts but he paid me no mind and just walked off......almost the same spot that I killed my 148"10 pt last year ,but he was just slow walking.a lot of rubs and scrapes showing up,fixing to get good in Hickman!

heading threw jackson county today , and a buck came darting across a field and ran right in front of me. he didnt even acknowlege me . things must be heating up ..

I travel old hillsboro to hillsboro rd to Murry Ln 3 days a week at 6:40 to 6:55 am. The rut is almost here in Williamson Co. I just wish I could hunt somewhere in that area. Best of luck!

Fayette County-West TN:
Getting bucks fighting on cams but does don't seem interested yet. The 4 point my son killed Sunday was already smelling. He was shot at the edge of a foodplot and piled up 12 yards into the woods and I smelled him before I entered the woods.
