I have a 3-9x40 and prefer keeping it at 6x. To me 6x gives a me a good FOV and I can still see at longer distances.

I will drop it to 4x when in the woods.

I don't like 9x at all.

What power in your variable scope do you prefer when hunting?

X2, I usually leave mine on 5X as well untill I see one way out there. Which is very rare where I hunt.

Lowest power available on my variable scopes. Where I hunt, a deer can show up within 20 yds with no warning.
