Bought some T/C Shockwave Bullets, does anyone shoot these ? what do you think about them ? I know some bullets don't perform as well as others but thought I would give them a try.

In 250 or 300 gr you have a good solid performing bullet there. What powder will you be using?

Last year i used those in 250 gr bonded core. I shot a buck at about 40 yards. He ran about 30 yards and fell over. It sure enough did the job, but there was no exit wound, leaving very little blood. If i would have had to track him any distance, it might've posed a problem. Bullets i have used in the past always went straight through, leaving a hefty blood trail. With all that being said, it did the job and i am using them again this year.

Had the same trouble 3 years ago. The buck i shot didn't bleed for 60 yards.Luckily I picked up a faint blood trail that led me to the deer 200 yds away. I switched to a 240gr DC

I will make my decision to stick with em or not after my next shot. The fact that "none of the energy was wasted", means nothing to me if you cant find your deer. But like i said, it did the job last year, so we will see .

If they will shoot accuratly in your gun the Barnes TEZs are hard to beat for terminal performance. They will open them up and bleed them out!

I've heard some bad press about the Shock Waves and the Hornady SST's [same bullet] But they [250 grain] shoot great in both of my rifles, T/C Thunder Hawk and my Rem 700. Probably going to jinx myself but i've never shot a deer with them that I didn't recover.
BTW, I use the regular shockwaves, don't have any experience with the bonded bullets.

I've shot em since they came out with em and have had good luck with em. Never have found a bullet because they all went through em and all had good blood trails.

I have shot several deer with the 250 grn shockwaves and only had one that didn't pass through, it was a quartering to shot at close range. It completely busted the left front shoulder and took out a couple of the right ribs, the bullet was found just under the hide at it's back hip. The deer went down like a ton of bricks.

The shock waves shoot well out of both my muzzle loaders with blackhorn,I've killed 2 deer with them and the bullet performed very well however neither one passed through due to quartering shots but either deer didn't go 30 yards before piling up,I think on a broadside they would pass through no problem

I found the same, super accurate but little if any expansion unless hitting a large bone.

Same here. I shoot them out of my Savage MLII at about 2100fps muzzle velocity. Since I began using them in 2010, I have shot a 90 lbs doe, a 130 lbs buck and a 170 lbs buck, all within 65 yards. None of them made it further than 30 yards and all of them were complete pass through shots. This is a picture of the entry hole of the 130lbs buck from last year. This shot was 25 yards.

Nice hole . I hope they perform well . I ha to buy the 250 grain last min cause I only had a few of my regular bullets left. They looked like they might be alright but
Was wondering what to expect after shooting a deer. I am just very glad they shouldn't perfo like them ole mag sabots cause they sucked IMO

I will be shooting 100 grain triple 7 smokeless or the sulfer free powder. Bullet was dead on on the first shot even being lined up with other brand bullet
