Could you elaborate a little? Are you looking for specific combos or just in general?

Just in general the .452/black mmp combo is not as tight as the .452/ red crush rib but the looser combo shoots better. I think the red crush rib is just to tight. I guess the real question im getting at is, are the. 458 bullet/ sabot combo going to work (load purty easy) or will they be to tight to even stuff down the barell? How are the overall diameter of the combos vs one another? I hope this makes since

Anybody who has ever shot them! .458s will out shoot .452s in terms of accuracy and terminal performance day in and day out.I have been shooting the Savages since late 2000.One thing I have learned is that the closer you get to actual bore dia the more accurate it is going to be. That is a proven fact.I have set up and owned many .50 cals over the years and this has always proved out.The pinnacle of the .458s are the .458 Barnes Original 300 grn bullet IMO.Second in line is the Hornady 4500s(.458)and third in line is the Remington .457 all shot with the Harvester BCR.

Tar would know he's shot them all. I've only shot a handful of different bullets which were Shockwaves, XTP in 250 and 300 gr, Barnes Spitfires, and some others. The 458 Barnes Original in BCR is by far best shooting so far. It gets me 1 inch at 100 and really that's all I need. May try something else when I run out of the ones I have but will probably be next year.

Ive shot the xtp and the ftx in 300 gr. And both are accurate with the black mmp but xtp was best, the ftx liked the R.C.R but the xtp did not at all? I am a hoarder when it comes to ammo so i bought 2 boxes of the xtps and a box of the ftx. Ive got some 250 gr. Ftx i got from Cecil but have no intention of shooting deer with them.

I also bought a box of 4500 .458 hornady hp. Ive got some
B.C.R and some other kind of sabot i am going to try this week.

Does the B.C.R put the. 458 bullet about the same overall diameter as the. 452 bullet with the R.C.R?

Rock the BCR and .458 will be tighter than the RCR .452 combo.

If so it would take 150# of pressure to seat the bullet lol

Come on now it aint that bad! Tight is good in these guns.If your bore is on the tight side you may want to try the smooth Harvesters. Harvester will send you a sample pack.

The 325 ftx has been working great for me the past couple years. I've been using orange mmps, but just bought some harvestor bcr to try out this week. I pushed one down the barrel to see how much difference the loading presure was. It measured 43lbs vs 40-41 lbs for the mmps(with a clean barrel). Also pushing it with 5744 and R7 with great accuracy.
