Are they legal to use as a means of communication while hunting?

Good question.I dont know why they wouldnt be?You can use cell phones.

See that's my thought too...My younger brother and I hunt together often but we like to hunt different areas. When sitting in a stand or moving about it'd be nice to have a two way with an earpiece so we could "talk"

just text each other or add the app "push to talk", we do it all the time

I don't know why they wouldn't be O K. I don't think I have see anyting in the guid about them. I would think they could be a safty feature. Esp. if you don't have cell.

We use them to ensure everyone is in place and safe; after that, radios are off. In the deer woods, silence is golden.

We use two way radios all the time in Cherokee, cell phones are useless up there. Can't imagine why they wouldn't be legal. If someone got hurt or something you wouldn't be able to find them...

It is illegal to use them to relay the location of game, if I remember correctly. For safety, recommended.
