I acquired another farm to hunt last night, and the VA/TN border is at the top of the mountain. The TN side is a tuff climb to the top with no logging roads or anything, but the VA side has logging roads all the way to the top. The gentleman owns both sides.
My questions is can I walk in from the VA side and be legal without a VA license?
If I kill one can I legally drag him out on VA side?
Main reason for asking Game wardens from TN and VA patrol this alot, and I dont' want to mess up and do wrong so just covering my butt.

Called Va game and wildlife and they said I had to keep my gun unloaded until i get to in TN, but prefer it still in the case, and make sure tags are on deer before I drag it back out, and I'd be legal.

Don't forget Va. has a "no hunt on Sundays law"......I'd just buy a Va. license too !

If it was me I would have my smart phone and pre printed perm tags and just check them in before I move the deer.
