I thought I knew it but now I am second guessing it. My daughter is 16 has passed her hunter safety class and has her basic type 001. I want to take her this weekend for the first time. There are 2 places we are looking at hunting. The first is cedars of leb. the other is percy priest now if she was just hunting those places will she need the 94 lisc? Also if she hunts prest it is shotgun and ml and cedars is all weapon so if she uses a shotgun at priest and riffle she just needs a 009 gun lisc but if she was to use ml on priest will she also need a ml 011?

I am thinking she will want to go more when gun season is open but. I wanted to make sure before I get the 94 lisc just in case she decides that she dosent like the whole hunting thing. I know she loves shooting.

For Priest she will need the Type 94 permit.

She will also need the big game license for the weapon she is using. If she uses a ML, it is the type 011, for shotgun or rfle it is the type 009.

If she hunts on a nonquota WMA the Type 94 PERMIT will cover her. She doesn't need LICENSES until she turns 13.

There is a difference in TN in licenses and permits, and that is why I put in the emphasis to educate others that will also read it.

The Type 94 is needed for the Unit L Special Season antlerless hunts that open during the regular gun season.

If they are hunting buck only they only need the regular licenses.

If you have a sportsmanship license it covers everything except the federal duck stamp. If you did not get it at the time, and are hunting migratory birds, you will need to add the free tennessee migratory bird stamp. Your permits for WMAs are already covered. Your sportsmanship license does not cover the cost of permits for public hunting areas or national wildlife refuges or fort campbell.

It shows no charge for Lifetime and annual Sportsmans license holders on the website.
