I just want to make sure I am reading the regs correctly. The youth hunt is obviously this weekend (27th and 28th). There is an AEDC non-quota archery hunt his weekend the 26th-28th. So, I can hunt AEDC the 26th, but not the 27th or 28th, correct? I almost messed this up because on the WMA seasons website it doesn't explicitly state the 26th is open to all but the 27th and 28th are youth only. Luckily one of my coworkers reminded me this was the youth weekend.

No, the youth hunt at AEDC was 2 weeks ago. This weekend is a regular bow hunt. You can hunt it.

Diehard, thanks for the response. That's how I read it the first time around but thought surely that isn't correct. I thought statewide youth hunt meant exactly that, statewide. Didnt realize there were caveats for certain areas. TWRA needs to include a note stating which areas the youth hunt restrictions don't apply to. Any TWRA officials care to comment?

Each WMA has their own set of regulations which are set in our WMA proclamation. Statewide regulations are what guide regulations on private lands throughout all the counties. If a WMA is open to statewide seasons it follows the regulations that are set for the county where it's located. Bottom line, if your hunting a WMA you go by the rules of that WMA.
