im wanting to use my dads old t/c new englander .50 cal muzzle loader this yr,but am about out of bullets. he always used the t/c maxi balls in 370gr. is that what i should stick to or do yall recommend something else. i have never really messed with it much,i have shot it several times just never hunted with it before.

If he shot them and it worked I'd keep shooting them.
That is a 1-48 twist barrel right?
