Ive never tried it but has anyone been successful using shooting sticks in a ladder stand?
I figured I could place the sticks in the foot rest.
I have the adjustable Stoney Point sticks.

I suppose it could be done. I've always just used the rail as a rest.

Yes I do. Just put the sticks on your boot and fire away. When you have the possibility of 200 plus yard shots like I do you need as much stability as you can get.

I've got a Stoney Point bipod that I use in a 2 man ladder stand. Feet wanted to get stuck in the mesh floor so I just put 2 of the small tennis balls on them. Works great now.

Some of the cheap ladder stands don't have shooting rails.

Some of the cheap ladder stands don't have shooting rails. Use conduit, its dirt cheap. You can bend it around and bolt it to it.Thats what I do when I get a ladder stand that doesn't have a shooting rail.
