There's an app on the android market called Hunt CheckIN that states that it is an app for checking in deer online. Is it a legitimate app? I wanted to know because it wants you to register using your TWRA number and I don't want that put out there unless it's legit. Hopefully someone can help me.

I appreciate the response scn. I only asked as the description for the app stated that it was specifically for Tennessee. I guess it's just another con man trying to get things he doesn't deserve.

I haven't seen it, but there is not an app approved at the present time for TN. I highly doubt that it covers the necessary printing of tags, etc. It may provide a link to the TWRA online checkin, but that would be its only function.

You have to have your twra number to check in properly. It is probably a legitimate app just not an official app. Then again he might be checking in a lot of deer himself this year.

The app claims to send your perm kill tag to your email and meet all State regulations.
I dunno, sounds fishy to me. Especially if the TWRA isn't aware of the app.

The app does not meet TWRA requirements. We do not mail or email kill tags. We have notified the app creator that the information he has on his site is faulty.
