Wondering if it's ok to shoot three 50 grain pellets out of my TC Black Diamond? It states in owners manual 150 grains is good, but is that a loose powder or pyrodex equivalent? I probably won't switch this year, and my set up is fine, but I was just wondering?

Triple 7 is hotter than Pyrodex. I would only do 2 to be on safe side. I believe 120 gr is the equivalent of 150 of Pyro.

It probably would wouldn't burn through all the powder anyway. Too much powder just sends extra out the barrel....as far as I know.

I am shooting 150 grains of 777 out of my Encore.

3 777 pellets is still equal to 150 grains. Where the confusion is, 777 loose powder is 20% hotter than loose pyrodex so you're pushing your luck if shooting 150 grains of loose 777 in you ML. I always shot 3 777 pellets in my Encore. Seemed to drop less at 200 yards using 3 pellets versus 2 pellets.

I use 110 grains of 777 pellets.
