Has anybody had problems with powerbelt bullets. year before last i had to shoot my buck 4 times to kill. 1 hour and 15 min later it died. all but one shot was right on money. last year i shot nice 8 pt never found and also didnt find hardly any blood (few drops).i felt shot was good but i guess you never know.been shooting 100 grains but thinking of moving to 150. any advice on new bullet would be greatly appreciated.

I just got a sidekick muzzleloader with aftermarket breech plug and came with some powerbelts. The powerbelts grouped fine for me using 80 grains of Blackhorn 209 but I have now swithed to Hornady FPB's on top of 80 grains of BH209 and it seems to be a good setup. Can't wait until muzzleloader season to try this combo out.

Several, several forums on here about failing powerbelts. I wouldn't use them if I could have all the free ones I wanted.

Several, several forums on here about failing powerbelts. I wouldn't use them if I could have all the free ones I wanted.
agreed, id hunt with a bow before using them to be honest.

Some like them but a lot don't. I've seen too many problems with performance to think they are a good choice.
