I think overall Romney did better than Obama. He didn't put Obama away, but he didn't give Obama the lift he needed either. In the end Obama's petty rudeness and his regurgitation of worn out talking points will feed Romney's momentum. Fox has already identified 3 major points of disagreement where Romney was accurate and Obama was not, one on economics and two on foreign policy. There should be enough to create some good ads.

Lastly, Obama looked like he was ready for Halloween. With his glazed stares and neanderthal eyes he reminded me of Lurch on the Addams Family. Voters will hesitate voting for a look that would shatter mirrors and frighten children.

This election will come down to turnout. If it is a 2008, pro-Obama turnout, he wins. If it is a 2010, Tea Party turnout, it's a landslide for Romney. You can bet the farm it won't be 2008, and it's up to each of us to make it 2010.

I don't like making predictions but I am beginning to sense it might just be another 2010.

The Republican base is energized and motivated. Heck, Romney is polling ahead in Pennsylvania, which hasn't gone Republican since 1988.

Romney's weakest (intentional) debate performance was on a night where we have Monday Night Football and a game 7 in the baseball playoffs. Plus, the topic was boring so I doubt many Americans tuned in for the entire debate.

I think Romney just wanted to frustrate Obama by avoiding all the set-ups, poll tested lies and boobie traps. In fact, I'm betting question #1 on libya was intended to lead Romney into a trap. O seemed miffed that Romney didn't charge. Curious

I thought Obama's eyes were going to pop out. I think he thought a intimidating glare would rattle Romney, but guess what, it didn't.

Exactly. Romney had much more to lose in this debate than Zero did. Romney played it safe and VERY smart. A good attorney never makes a statement or asks a question unless he already knows what the answer will be in court. With Zero, it is hard to know what the lie... errrr answer will be.

Another reason I believe Romney didn't push is some surveying indicated some undecided voters viewing the last debate saw Romney as being borderline rude.
