I think Romney could have buried him and since I can't stand Obumbler and his lies, a smackdown would have felt good.
BUT would it have made him look presidential to the masses?
Probably not.
Its amazing to me that ANY agreement with Obumbla is viewed as a huge victory for Obungler. Seriously? In 4 years he managed to get 11 things right enough that Romney could agree with him?

I think Romneys strategy was to look presidential, not screw up, hit back but not look rabid. He did manage to get his agenda across which is a huge plus.
Obumbla's strategy was to attack and keep the focus off his record of failures. His job was to keep the focus off himself and on his attacks on Romney. He was somewhat successful.
I don't think tonight was a game changer.

From what I saw, Mitt took the high road. He was polite and factual... Obama was rude, emotional at times and made several open attempts to aggravate Mitt with facial gestures and verbal sparinng.
Mitt seemed presidential. Obama seemed amateurish.
My thoughts exactly.

Mitt seemed presidential. Obama seemed amateurish.
That is supposedly the plan. I wanted him to go for the jugular but his advisors have instructed him to go with the flow, promote peace, and be in safe mode.
It infuriateshis base but is designed to lure some panty waist liberals to swing his way.

One thing I think Romney missed very badly.
When Obama talked about the US currency rates being the best for exporters in years Romney had him there but let it go.
The only time that the US currency is great for US exporters is when the dollar has LOST IT'S VAULE.

I get so tired of the fact checkers going back to what Romney said 4 yts ago. The world is a different place now, not really a fair assessment.
A President or any CEO HAS to change with the situation they are in....
