Just curious as to when everyone makes the decision to move cameras to scrapes? I put a camera on one of my "old faithful" scrapes last week but no action as of yet.

As soon as real ones start to appear, which for my place this year was the last week of September. Normally, it's more like mid-October.

I moved one a couple weeks ago and moved 2 more this past weekend. The first camera had a few bucks checking it.

Scraping and scrape-checking generally peak in the three weeks prior to the beginning of peak breeding, and peaks really hard in the last week before peak breeding.

I just moved one to a scrape. I think I'll move all cams to scrapes by opening week of muzzleloader.

Usually around mid October for us. Though I did see close to 25 scrapes the second week of bow season. I haven't been back since due to my schedule. Will be there this weekend to check them. We have 7 cameras and all on different fields. They have been hammering them. I know the bucks are still coming to them, because my dad has been there and seen around 17 different bucks on 4 sits in these fields. If you had told me that anyone would see that many at our place in that amount of time, I wouldn't believe you. Though no matter what, they will be over scrapes/mock scrapes by the end of the weekend
