I figured a boat would be in the same catagory as 4 wheelers, and started wearing mine in the boat. I dont know exactly how the law is written but i never figured that I must have it on since I technically wasn't hunting in any way.

If you are walking to your stand you need your orange on same if you are in a boat you are hunting as you can shoot out of the boat. Now yes if Yoruba under a gas motor I would hope no one mistakes you for a deer but most laws are written in blood.

If you read the legal definition of hunting, you are technically hunting. That is why it is required once you exit your vehicle.

Hot dogs have always yielded us some 'cooking sized' catfish.

We used what was easily available.
Chicken livers and some small shad.
Seemed that the chicken livers came off to easy and we caught most on the shad. 6 bull head cats and 1 channel/yellow cat.

I think we would have done better with a tougher bait and setting the line closer to dark. That would have given the bluegills less time to pick it off the hooks.

Lot of work but fun!

Thanks for all the suggestions.

Chicken breast. Just as good as chicken livers but stays on the hook. Usually catch channels with that.
