You tell it Betty Crocker. Dont get your panties in a wad. Just because I like it, doesnt mean you have to use it. Man asked for soaking solution, so I gave one. If my suggestion doesnt fit your petique aray of ingredients. Move on and suggest one. But dont just set there and keep bashing on another mans method.

I have recommended "Black Oaks" maridade before and I will again. The only place it is available is in Paris, TN or Dresden, TN where it is made. Lathams meat market in Jackson also carries it.

What is, soy sauce in general or just the fake soy sauce?
Fake soy sauce.

Alright, I'll tell it to Betty Crocker and let her get her panties in a wad I wasn't bashing your method, though I did fail to make it to my point: Do you always marinade venison like that for every dish? My main point with the corn syrup and the fake soy is that you do realize that you are both adding synthetic and industrially processed ingredients to your venison when you use a commercial marinade like that? You may not care, you may even like, but I was primarily pointing it out because you may have never thought about it.
I have had marinaded venison before that other people have prepared, but, myself, I have never felt that venison, or most red meat, for that matter, needed to be marinated. Backstraps and tenderloins are tender enough to stand on their own. Roasts can be slow cooked, steaks can be slow cooked or tenderized, and most anything else (shanks etc) can be effectively braised.

Not on everything. I dont marinate to tenderize. I do it for taste and I love the taste of allegro (original & hot/spicy) the hickory smoke flavor is aweful and will never use it on any cut.

McD, try making your own Allegro. I bet it'd come out much better.
