Swithced to BH209 this year as well as Barnes TMZ bullets. I was shooting 777 pellets and XTPmags last year with very frustrating and inconsistent results. Pretty much had lost all confidence with the set up and HATED cleaning the thing.

Well i must say i am a fan of the BH as well as the barnes bullets!

CVA Optima, Barnes 240TMZ bullets, MMP Sabots, 100grains BH209 and CCI209M primers

shot 6 shots total to get it all lined up. Below is 100yds and the first shot was the High one, you can see me walking it down. The final shot was the bull!

oh and cleaning it was beyond easy!!!

It helps when your shooting a consistent powder like Blackhorn. Nice going and good luck.

Looks like you found an accurate powder, bullet, and sabot combination.

Did you have to order the special breech plug for the blackhorn? I just bought an optima and thought of trying the blackhorn but saw that they had a special breech plug for it. Just wondered if it was really necessary.

Nope and I have the one before the speed breech. Shot prob 15-16 rounds and never had an issue using the CCI209M primer

I like your target holder. I use those too. Whenever I get low, I look for these election signs posted in public right away and collect a dozen or so. It does seem that the signs are getting a little flimsy lately. I'm hoping with the presidential election that there will be good quality signs.

Signs placed in public right away have the same legal status as litter.

I use bh209 in my optima with speed breech. I also called cva and ordered the bh breech plug. Using cci209m primers and packing that powder right no misfires and especially no lock delay. Order the bh plug you'll be glad you did.

I collected the auction signs from where I bought my house (after the auction of course). They're about twice as thick as most of the election signs I've seen. They work great.
