MUP,
Ya'll are considerably further ahead of West TN in terms of leaves changing and coming down.

Yea, but going in last eve was fantastic. After the rain, even tho there were tons of leaves on the ground, I slipped in very quietly. But alas, I still am not seeing any deer in this spot, where the trespassers rolled thru.

Saturday 10-19-12 Base of a subtle hill with a faint, old road coming down a hill from a pine thicket. Couple of scrapes along the way. Perpendicular, is a trail that runs the base of the hill. -saw 8 deer here this morning.

10-21-12. this is one of my favorite stands for bow hunting. there is a creek at the bottom and the lower half is to steep for anything to travel it. there is a bluff behind me. perfect funnel and if anything comes around this hill it has to pass within 30 yards of me. [img] [/img] there are 2 spike bucks near the center of this pic, only one is standing in the clearing enough to make out. looks like it is far off but he is only 22 yards.
this next pic is right under me on a flat that runs around the hill and there are 2 does. 1 on the left and 1 towards the right. [img] [/img] always see at least 5 or 6 every morning and have seen up to 15. there is a big bottom field that they feed in over night and oak trees around the hill from me. good place to get them as they go from one to the other.
