Why not just put the climber up there in two pieces and leave it up there? Climb up to it with climbing sticks. Be much easier to get it up the tree, you could lower your top part so it would be easier to get in and out of it, and would not have to worry about ratchet straps rotting or breaking.

Dicks has those heavy steel climbers on sale for $100.
They also have a lock on with arm rests for $140. Not sure if it comes with ladders.
If I have any money, Im going to wait until season is over and try to pick up a couple of those climbers on clearance and some ladders.
