There's a guy on Doug's that sells small, clear vials that work great for the amount of powder we use. Another idea that I once had was to see if anyone in the medical industry could get me a few of the vials they use when they draw blood (before they've had blood in them of course).

Here's a link for the vials http://smokelessmz.com/vials.html

They're $8.50 plus shipping for 20 of them.

Few more options.

http://randywakeman.com/PowderVialsforSavage.htm (the ones I use)

http://www.royalcs.com/vials/

Cheapest option is go to Wal-Mart and go in the crafts section and purchase the vials of glitter, pour the glitter out, wash out and voila, you are in business. http://www.walmart.com/ip/WM-Kids-Craft-Glitter-Shaker-Tubes-12pk/20692247

I'm using old 35mm film canisters, although might be hard to find them now, and I'll eventually have to go to something else.

But until my supply runs too low, they do work well, they won't "break", and you can "squeeze" them to funnel the powder into the barrel. Most I'm using are clear, and can see even a single grain of powder thru the canister. I just use a Sharpie marker to write on the container how many grains of what powder is inside.

Only think I would worry about is are they static free? Also how strong are they? Things tend to get crushed around me.

I've been using vials with screw tops for years now but am thinking about trying an old trick. Use a spent case of a rifle with a earplug to cap it off. You can use most any case and choose. 7mm Mag seems to be a good one to use as it's large enough to hold onto and find in your pocket and narrow enough to direct the powder into the muzzle. I've spilled some from a vial while reloading after a shot in the woods and had to dump out the charge and load it again. Sucks trust me but I take no chances with something that can blow up.

Do you get vials to hold powder sabot and bullet? or just powder? I always used pellets in my CVA so I stacked the sabots and bullets on bottom for "quick load".
