Anybody use this stuff? Looks like it would be good to add to a field or pasture that deer hang around. Sounds like it's only used in Florida though, maybe it doesn't handle the cold too well?

Desmodium occurs naturally in TN. It is the "stick-tight" plant--the one that produces those little triangular seed pods that get stuck all over your clothes.

Ah...we always called that begalise in Alabama. Not sure of the spelling because I've never seen it written down but that's roughly how I've always heard it pronounced. Beg-uh-lize. Dang nuisance if you ask me.

Begger's lice.
But it is a highly preferred natural food source of deer.

Don't remind me about begger's lice. I went thru a thicket last year trailing a deer wearing my brand new Columbia wool coat and spent 2 hours that afternoon sitting in a ground blind picking cockleburs and begger's lice off of it. Shew!

Desmodium is also an excellent food source for Bobwhites as well as Bidens(the other stick tights).
