They were recommended for my Savage 220 and they grouped wonderfully. Hopefully, in November I can tell you how they perform on a big buck.

i shoot the 12 Ga version and had always used the 3". i moved to the 2 3/4 because reviews i read said the performed the same. They group well, but i have never had a chance to shot a deer with my slug gun. i hope to change that this year.

I shoot them out of my savage 220 20ga and they are great. 1.5" groups at 100 and right under 3" groups at 200 yards. Shot 3 deer with them last year in Illinois. All 3 deer had massive entrance and exit wounds. Great slug.

I used to hunt with slugs but ended up ruining so much meat decided to go with 243s and 25-06. I did like not having to track em down.

I've shot the 2 3/4 accutips. They were ok. About the same grouping as the hornady. But every gun is different. They look well made, I just couldn't get them to group better or as good as the lightfields.

My USH has the 3 1/2" chambered barrel. I'm curious as to whether this could cause accuracy problems with 2 3/4" slugs or even 3" slugs??

If yours has a 3 1/2 chamber, I wouldn't go with anything smaller than 3". I think it would be to much of a jump for the bullet
