Started back to school again and can't hunt too much but I am wanting to take me and my wife on a hog trip somewhere......not fenced....and probably not in Tennessee. Maybe Alabama or georga or south Carolina. Anyone ever been and could u recommend a guide? No dogs. Bow and gun . PM me if u have any suggestions. Thanks.

I'd also be interested in finding a reasonably close (one-day drive) place to kill meat hogs with my dad and brother. Won't be able to go until next year, but never too early to plan!

There was a place that I went to in South Georgia called Green Lakes Hunting that was a great place to go but I think they got flooded out or something. They took down their web page and they don't answer their email. They still have a facebook page which is active but they don't respond to emails. There are pictures of the place flooded out. I am hoping they open back up someday soon.

treat this is as a DIY hunt....start making phone calls to farms and ranches in east texas, start in the nacogdoches area and doing some ground work.....last time i bought one a nonresident license to kill hogs in texas was cheap, but that was several years ago..its actually pretty easy to get a three or four day pass on someones land.....
I know you wanted a guided hog hunt but I believe it would be well worth your money to do it this way....plus with a guide you'll probably be allowed 1 hog.....do it this way and its limitless

I really wanted to do this earlier this year but complications arose. I looked into it and most guided hunts in East Texas are 2 day 1 night hunts with allowed 1 hog per person. They range from 300-on up to whatever you want. Some will quarter it for you some won't. If you look through them you can find some deals. The one we were gonna go to was like 575 for a Friday-Sunday @ 12:00 noon hunt and you were allowed 2 hogs. But if you think about it, you and your wife kill 4 hogs, that's a TON of meat. If your serious just google East Texas hog outfitters.
