http://news.yahoo.com/impact-romney-obama-tax-ideas-tough-figure-234325776--election.html

This is an article on Romney's and Obama's tax plans.

Here's two parts I like.

"Romney promises a 20 percent cut in tax rates, but he won't say which deductions he'll kill to pay for it. He promises a wholesale rewrite of the tax code that would cut income tax rates across the board, taking the top rate from 35 percent to 28 percent.

Romney's plan offers the dessert of sweeping tax cuts but not the vegetables of how he would pay for it. He and running mate Paul Ryan — his House GOP budget plan promises an even lower top tax rate of 25 percent — say they'll curb tax breaks and rely on fresh revenue from economic growth to recoup the cost."

"Obama would instead raise that top rate to 39.6 percent, making clear he's still wedded to the idea that individuals with incomes above $200,000 and couples earning above $250,000 should pay more. It's never gotten anywhere on Capitol Hill, even when Democrats had sweeping House and Senate majorities in Obama's first two years in office."

Ever with a fullbuster proof Congress Obama could NOT raise taxes on the rich. There are too many rich Democrats in Congress to allow that.

This needs to be repeated!
Obama CAN NOT do it, and he HAS NOT done it, EVEN WHEN HE HAD TWO YEARS WITH REPUBLICANS TOTALLY LOCKED OUT, (which is, by the way, how he passed ObamaCare without a single member of congress having read it.) Democrats passed ObamaCare without a single Republican voting for it, yet quite a few democrats oppose strangling the economy even more now with higher taxes, no matter whom they're imposed upon, "rich" or not.

And Obama knows he cannot do it.

So just what is Obama up to?
He's simply using the fact that wealthy people outnumber less wealthy people, while all people vote, regardless of economic standing. Obama is demonizing the wealthy, creating a "class warfare" for the sole purpose of trying to get himself elected, putting his own selfishness above our country. His country must be some other country, as he seems to be doing his best to destroy ours. Otherwise, he's an empty suit, and empty chair, more interested in dividing us than uniting us --- this has become proven even to many his most ardent supporters of 2008 who will not be voting for him in 2012.

And I still say the main reason he refuses to show his college transcripts is because he had poor grades, listed his birthplace as Kenya, religious preference as Muslim. So much for all the transparency he promised in 2008.

They are all lying. If you are not balancing the budget every year you are raising taxes on some one some day. I don't care what the tax rate is today - I look to the long term. They also like to talk about cuttimg waste - what could be more wasteful than paying interest?
