Same thing with fries. you have to get the starch off of them.
I pack a 1 gallon bucket with cut fries. Add 1/2 to 1 cup vinegar
and fill with water until fries are covered. Put air tight lid on
and place in frig 24 hours.
Drain and rinse fries and allow drain. Fry in 350 degree oil and enjoy awesome crispy fries. Seen this on Food Network and it works great.

Yes, left over Chili.
Also have some left over chopped up brisket in there, along with smothered onions cheese and jalapenos
