it is so,,he said that it misfired 5 times in two days on three different deer,,she finally killed a 100 class 8 pointer with the last shell he had.

I had the 12 gauge version of it. Never had a problem other than I didn't realize you could shoot shells other than 3" mags in them \:\)

I set mine for 1" high at 100 and killed two deer with mine at about 130 and 150 yards respectively. It knocked one completely off its feet and it never got up. The problem was the gun was light and the kick was brutal with those 3" shells. I imagine 2 3/4 might be a tad easier. I sold mine to someone here off the classifieds several years ago...and wish I had never sold it.
