Oil change.
put sticker on windshield with +3000 miles.
Drive
Notice that I am getting close to mileage on sticker. Think....hmmmm need to change oil soon.
Drive
Look at sticker and notice that I am now approx 1000 miles OVER what is on the sticker. Think.. I really need to change my oil.
Drive
Look at sticker and see that I am almost 2000 miles OVER what is on the sticker... Think "Aiiieieee! I need to change my oil NOW!"
Drive about 200 more miles.
Finally change oil at about 5000 miles.
Repeat process.

Then, they said due to the mileage, they recommended the following:
Transmission fluid change
Cooling system changed
Rear differential service
Pcv valve replaced

Again, I opted to get the standard oil change. I had the PCV valve changed, since it was so inexpensive. I usually take my truck to Wal Mart to get the oil changed with little hassle. I guess this speed lube place needs the money. Or maybe my truck really does need the work done on it.

I did find out I had an antifreeze leak. Now I'm off to get that checked out.

Flushing the tranny isn't a bad idea if you've never done it.

I've put it in my truck since I turned 75,001 miles. I'm not sure of the difference it may have made. It still burns clean at 135,000

Why try to fix something that isn't broke..........stick to what you have been doing. The most important thing is fresh oil/filter, often.

I've taken two trucks to 300,000 miles. Just change the oil when it's dirty.
