just bought a new farm that had several plots already planted. gonna take the tractor out there this weekend and put one or two more in, on the far side of the property. very good soil and hills. what would you recommend this late?

Bought the only thing will be winter wheat. And put some triple 15 fertilizer on it.

might just mow a couple of acres of weeds down and let the spilled seeds green up everything. not sure

Winter rye. It will germinate and grow in cooler temperatures than wheat or oats. It's the hardiest of all cereal grains.

Depending the size and how grown up it is it could just be left to stand. I have several weeds around plots that the deer like better than the plots itself. If its a large area cut strips and broadcast WW or rye,maybe some annual clover, AWP and be done with it.
