Yet another reason why I dislike and distrust politicians more and more with each passing day, regardless of their stripe. "Physician, heal thyself."
....."You told me you'd have an abortion, and now we're getting too far along without one," DesJarlais is quoted as saying. "If we need to go to Atlanta, or whatever, to get this solved and get it over with so we can get on with our lives, then let's do it."
DesJarlais on his website espouses a platform that opposes abortion, saying: "All life should be cherished and protected. We are pro-life.".....

Let's see, just on what we know this bastard had an affair, urged and apparently succeeded in having his mistress murder his baby, had unethical (if pain pills are involved in any way) possibly illegal relationship with a patient, threatened to kill his wife, threatened to kill himself, and he admits on tape that he is psychotic. Who knows what else this moron has done. And he has the nerve to get on talk radio and talk about family value?
Crazy, lying, selfish, flaming hypocrite.

An (R) doesn't make someone more just, rational or trustworthy.
I will not make excuses or defend someone because of party affiliation.
He hurts our cause far more than having an (R) in office helps.

According to what he said in an interview on the Ralf Bristol / Michael Deljourno (sp) show this morning, there was never a pregnancy or an abortion take place.... And depending on who you are an how you look at the situation... He and his wife went through a drawnout 2 year divorce in which time they BOTH agreed to see other people.
The same stuff being brought up now was brought up 2 years ago when he was running for office. The court proceedings were sealed and he is not aware of what sworn statement "tapes" may be out there.

The DesJarlais campaign did not dispute the contents of the transcript first reported by the Huffington Post, but condemned the circulation of "desperate personal attacks."

In modern day journalism, "no comment" can be easily penned as "did not dispute the contents of the transcript". Consider the source- HuffPo.
