Heres the deal,im planning on hunting the the AM, they are calling for a NE wind until 9am,and then its supposed to shift to the SE for the rest of the day.I've got stands that are good for a NE wind, and a SE wind. But what I do not have is a stand that is good for NE and SE at the same time.Im not one that likes to hunt till 9am and then get down and move.I just never had any lucking doing it nor do I have any confidence in it.Should I just pick a stand thats good for Ne or SE wind and hope for the best?

Id just hunt. Most of my spots i have i never can tell where the deer will come from so i usually dont worry about the wind to much. I had 3 does come downwind of me sunday morning to 10yards and never knew i was there until i shot one. i just spray down good and hope for the best.

Just hunt with the earliest direction in mind. \:\)

Take a shower, put on clean clothes and clean boots and especially a clean hat and go hunt and for Gosh sake, quit worrying about it.

All of my stands are set up for southern winds (SW S SE) so when these cold fronts come in with north winds, I just hunt my stands as I normally would, only I keep my eyes peeled downwind to make sure I'm not being winded. If they wind you, not much you can do other than hope they make a circle around you and come in from the upwind side by accident. My 2 cents.

I am definitely seeing a lull in older buck movement during daylight hours right now. Plenty of does and bucks 2 and under. As for hunting the wind, hunt the early wind and hope you don't have to worry about what happens after 9.

As many times as those idiots have been wrong this yr predicting weather I would setup for a SW stand. I'd like to give every meteorologist a good ole fashion southern arse whippin. Just hunt for whichever its blowing in the morning when u go in and dont expect on them being write. Im calling for a 20% chance of flurries and a 30% chance of tsunami's in the morning.
