ImThere knows what he's talking about. He's killed many deer off Yanahli.

What he meant, I think is. Just go hunting and don't worry about the other hunters. And get in your tree 1.5 hours before daylight and don't climb down until you can't see the ground. ;\)

Ok lets see
1. Worry bout your self. Let others worry about where you are just be respectfull if you do happen to walk up on someone
2. First in the woods last out. Hunt earlier and longer than most.
3. Dont hunt where every tree in a 100yd circle has climber marks i usually go the opposite way of most hunters. Trash on the ground and shooting lanes and climber marks are a tell all that the place sees alot of action. I hunted cheeks bend arguably the most popular spot out there and i thought i had the place alone up until i got called to work one time and left early there were 16 or 17 trucks parked along the way out.

I haven't been to cheeks bend without seeing at least a truck or two. It is at least 800 acres though, but with enough hunters out there you may ot get the woods to yourself. Try hunting the spots where hunters obviously walk by on their way in... I found a big oak next to a parking area that could have potential, if I decided to hunt there.

Thank you gentlemen. Very helpful advice, and I think helpful for others also hunting public land. Also, I gather you'd hunt the timber not the field edges.
