My dad and I hunt a 70 acre tract of land that was all hardwoods but the landowner decided to cut all the logs off of it this year. They have been logging it for going on 4 months now with mules. My question is this, do you think this tract will still hold deer or would you find another place to hunt this year. The tract has a big power line coming through it and deer have always crossed it but with most of the big stuff being cut I'm not sure it'll be worth hunting this year.

Look for the tracks of deer, they will be there, wait,"all the logs"? If its a desert ,maybe not,but deer dont run from chainsaws like most people think.

May not be as good this yr as its been in the past, but dont get rid of it. Cause next season it will be a jungle and they love bedding in those newly cut clearcuts. Just invest in some big tri-pods.

I already have 4x5 shooting houses on 16 ft 6x6s up there. We put them in a few year ago. Once they get done I should be able to see a long way! Lol!
