It is. The evening I took my buck, it came a blizzard for about 2 hours. Right after I made the shot, I had him in my binocs waiting for him to wobble, but a snow squall blew through and I lost the deer. The shot felt good, but I backed out not knowing for sure. It was a long, sleepless night! Roads were solid ice the next morning and it took a couple of hours to get back to the ranch, but the buck was laying where I last had eyes on him. The arrow took out liver and one lung.

Use to catch a lot of fish in the south fork of the Powder River. Fished on the Graves ranch, then drank cold beer in the Hole in the Wall bar in Kaycee. I lived in Casper at the time. Whitetails were just coming into the country then.
